During the first year of the covid pandemic racism, fear, and anger ignites and magnifies. Blackface, a form of vaudeville acting, in which white people wear dark makeup and ridicule, mock, and denigrate black people, resurfaces and its shameful memory is fresh, still raw. The painting, "Black Face", 48x36 inches, oil on canvas, with its hollow white human shell of a body, takes its place among the 27 paintings of "Painting A Pandemic”.
