"Building A World", 48x36 inches, oil on canvas, is the artist's response to wearing a mask the first time, for safety. Feeling awkward and self conscious, the idea of replacing the mask with an element of nature surfaced. In this painting the wasp nest with its sealed cells holds the next generation of wasps, the guarantee of survival, the future.
